LBCAC Comedy Series presents an unforgettable night of stand-up comedy featuring nationally recognized comedians Darren Carter, Matt Balaker, and Frances Dilorinzo in the intimate listening-room setting of the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center. Headlining the evening is Darren Carter, the wildly energetic comedian known as “The Party Starter,” whose appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Comics Unleashed, Comedy Central, and major comedy clubs across the country have made him a fan favorite for more than two decades. Carter’s high-energy crowd work, physical comedy, and razor-sharp observations have earned him millions of online views and a devoted following nationwide. Also featured is Laguna Beach resident Matt Balaker, an insightful comedian and writer whose smart, relatable comedy draws from marriage, fatherhood, Southern California culture, and the absurdity of modern life. Balaker’s comedy credits include VICE TV’s Dark Side of Comedy, Hulu, SiriusXM, the Adam Carolla Podcast, Thick Skin with Jeffrey Ross, and Conan. He is also the co-author of Greg Giraldo: A Comedian’s Story, the acclaimed biography of one of comedy’s most respected voices. Joining the lineup is internationally acclaimed comedian Frances Dilorinzo, whose fearless blend of intelligent humor, physical comedy, and corporate wit has taken her around the world aboard major cruise lines including Celebrity, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Holland America.
