Nobody likes to think about parking, and thankfully when visiting Laguna Beach, we’ve taken the stress out of worrying where to park by providing you various options.
Please note that during our peak season, metered parking can fill up quickly, so if you prefer to park on the street, plan to arrive early, otherwise use any of our covered and uncovered lots. More information on Laguna Beach parking options below.
Daily metered street parking is available and enforced from 8am-9pm at all meters. Credit cards and quarters are accepted at all parking meters. Rates range from $2.50-$4.50 per hour. Most meters have a 3-hour limit. Please note: if there is a time restriction on a meter, you must move your car to a new spot once you have reached the limit, you may not re-feed that meter.
If you have a handicap placard, you may park in an on-street metered parking space without having to pay (for up to 72 hours). However, you must pay to park in a regular, non-handicap space in the city parking lots.
The daily parking lots are listed below and can be viewed on the map.
Laguna Beach offers a total of nine electric vehicle charging stations, including two in the Glenneyre parking structure (Lot 6), three in the Forest/Laguna Canyon parking area (Lot 11) and four in the Lumberyard lot (Lot 12). Users simply register with ChargePoint (link to chargepoint.com) before leaving home. Then, rates are $3/hour to charge a vehicle for up to four hours. Electric vehicles do NOT have to purchase a separate parking pass from the pay station while parked at an electric vehicle charging station.
The City's municipal code allows an RV, regardless of size, to be parked on any city streets for a maximum of 5 hours in a 24-hour period, not limited to just Laguna Canyon Road. If parked at a meter(s), individual must pay for all meter(s) they are parked in front of. The Police Department can issue a RV parking permit, which is free, and allows RVs to park on any city street for up to 72 hours. Items needed for an RV parking permit include: Driver's license, description of RV, license plate, and where the RV will be parked. In order to obtain the RV parking permit, individuals must visit the Police Department during normal business hours (8am to 5pm, 7 days a week). Please direct any other questions to the Police Department non-emergency number: (949) 497-0701 ext. 0.
