Nobody likes to think about parking, and thankfully when visiting Laguna Beach, we’ve taken the stress out of worrying where to park by providing you various options.

Please note that during our peak season, metered parking can fill up quickly, so if you prefer to park on the street, plan to arrive early, otherwise use any of our covered and uncovered lots. More information on Laguna Beach parking options below.

Off Season Free Weekend Trolley:

UPDATE: All trolley service is temporarily halted until further notice.

The free weekend trolley runs Friday (4pm-11pm), Saturday (11am-11pm) & Sunday (11am-8pm). For information on the free Laguna Beach weekend trolley, click here.

Parking Meters:

Daily metered street parking is available and enforced from 8am-9pm at all meters. Credit cards and quarters are accepted at all parking meters. Rates range from $1-$4.50 per hour. Most meters have a 3-hour limit. Please note: if there is a time restriction on a meter, you must move your car to a new spot once you have reached the limit, you may not re-feed that meter.

What to do if the parking meter is broken:
  • Parking is still allowed at the space, but FREE
  • Place a note on the dash of the car to indicate the parking meter is broken
  • Continue to follow the time limit for that particular parking space
  • Take note of the number listed on the parking meter, and then
  • Report the broken meter to the LB Public Works Meter Department (949-497-0349) or by submit a request online through the City's Ask Laguna program

Disabled Parking:

If you have a handicap placard, you may park in an on-street metered parking space without having to pay (for up to 72 hours). However, you must pay to park in a regular, non-handicap space in the city parking lots.

Daily Parking Lots:

The daily parking lots are listed below and can be viewed on the map.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations:

Laguna Beach offers two electric vehicle ChargePoint charging stations in the Forest Avenue parking lot (Lot #11), and two in the Glenneyre Parking Structure (Lot #6). Users simply register with ChargePoint before leaving home. Then, rates are $2/hour to charge a vehicle for up to four hours. Regular parking lot rates also apply. If you have questions, please call the Parking department at (949) 497-0303.

RV Parking:

The City's municipal code allows an RV, regardless of size, to be parked on any city streets for a maximum of 5 hours in a 24-hour period, not limited to just Laguna Canyon Road. If parked at a meter(s), individual must pay for all meter(s) they are parked in front of. The Police Department can issue a RV parking permit, which is free, and allows RVs to park on any city street for up to 72 hours, and not required to pay meter(s). Items needed for an RV parking permit include: Driver's license, description of RV, license plate, and where the RV will be parked. In order to obtain the RV parking permit, individuals must visit the Police Department during normal business hours (8am to 5pm, 7 days a week). Please direct any other questions to the Police Department non-emergency number: (949) 497-0701 ext. 0.
