Perfect Picnic Spots for a Date Night in Laguna Beach

Perfect Picnic Spots for a Date Night in Laguna Beach

Spread out a blanket, pour a couple of glasses of wine, and get ready for an amazing sunset in Laguna Beach.

It could be the best date night or relaxing picnic you’ve ever enjoyed. Certainly one of the most beautiful!

HEISLER PARK

Heisler Park Picnic Date

Nestled directly above the crashing waves of Laguna Beach sits Heisler Park. The path from the north end of Main Beach winds up the hill and meanders for about one half of a mile through native flowers, tall palm trees, and stretches of green grass. Public art dots the landscape and sets the stage for stopping to take in the scenery. The south section of Heisler Park has sweeping views of Main Beach. Spread a blanket on the green steps of the small amphitheater and enjoy the quiet. Sunset can best be seen from the north section of Heisler Park where many picnic tables provide spots for enjoying a meal. Pick this park to find a quiet corner, a casual walk, and spectacular views.

CRESCENT BAY POINT PARK

Wine Glasses Crescent Bay Laguna Beach

Perched atop the aquamarine waters of Crescent Bay is this sliver of a rocky point which has become a popular place to take in a sunset. A large grassy knoll is a great place to spread a picnic blanket and enjoy some goodies while listening to the crash of waves below. A short path takes visitors to the edge of the rocks where a rounded amphitheater of seats could be a good place to watch the Pacific Ocean. Pick this park for a great view of the sunset but be sure to come early because finding a parking spot in the neighborhood can be difficult.

TREASURE ISLAND PARK AND THE CLIFFS BY THE MONTAGE LAGUNA BEACH

Laguna Beach Sunset

It could hardly get more romantic than walking the flower-lined path near the Montage Laguna Beach with wood benches dotting the grounds, just waiting for a couple to sit to enjoy the view. Near the northernmost point of the park is a circle of benches, a gazebo, palm trees, and picnic tables that many people gather at nightly to watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. Far below is a clean stretch of sand where there is an equally appealing view. Pick this park for a beautiful stroll, easy access to sandy beaches, and the best views in town of the sunset.
