Tucker explores the life and work of Laguna Beach artist Frank Cuprien through the lens of close looking and collecting. Drawing on years of research and firsthand experience, Dr. Tucker discusses how collectors come to understand Cuprien’s paintings, what distinguishes his approach to light and abstraction and how thoughtful collecting can deepen appreciation for an artist’s legacy within California art history.
