The Laguna Beach Democratic Club has announced their Pet Parade & Bow-Wow Beach Walk, a Flag Day celebration, scheduled for Sunday, June 14.
Dubbed “Pup Cups for Patriotism,” the community-wide gathering invites local residents and their four-legged companions to come dressed in patriotic attire for a morning of beachside fun, community organizing and canine camaraderie.
June 14 is also another poignant date on the calendar for dogs and dog owners alike; it serves as the final day dogs are legally permitted on Laguna’s beaches until the seasonal restrictions lift in September.
To commemorate both occasions (Flag Day and last dog days before summer), attendees will gather at the lifeguard tower at Main Beach beginning at 10 a.m. for check-in, followed by their parade at 10:30 a.m.
Following the parade, participants will march to Jedidiah Coffee for an after-party featuring premium coffee, fresh donuts, complimentary “pup cups” for the canines and a community conversation dedicated to how residents can help “Save Democracy” during this crucial election year.
The event serves as an official fundraiser supporting the Laguna Beach Democratic Club’s 2026 election efforts, building localized momentum ahead of critical fall campaigns.
A highlight of the morning will be the highly competitive costume and spirit contest. Panels will award prizes across four distinct categories: Most Patriotic Pup, Best Human-Pup Duo, Crowd Favorite and Best Beach Vibes. Organizers encourage creative red, white and blue ensembles that showcase both national pride and coastal spirit
