Goff Cove

Goff Cove, just south of Christmas Cove and just north of Middle Man cove (a tiny hidden beach with no direct access) is one of Laguna’s best beaches for balancing accessibility with isolation. Protected from the waves and wind by the craggy Goff Island, the beach is ideal for young families. Nearby access to bathrooms, ramps, PCH parking, plus a parking garage on Wesley Drive, and the grassy lawn of Montage resort make this a shockingly accessible place to spend a sunny day.

Like Treasure Island, Goff Cove is managed by Montage Laguna Beach as part of their contract with the city. As such, it’s impeccably clean at all times. The fact that it’s contained by natural landmarks – with rocks to the north and south acting as boundaries – also helps with parents of children wanting to give their kids some parameters.

Swim in the calm waters just south of Goff Island or explore the tide pools at its base. When you’re done with the beach, wander up to the Treasure Island Park to shower, picnic, and watch the sunset from the benches.
