For one night only, San Francisco-based Scott Baird will prepare festive cocktails as part of an evening with live music, giveaways, and more in Las Brisas’ bar and lounge

WHAT:
Las Brisas, the Laguna Beach landmark restaurant, and Scott Baird, renowned bartender and owner of the famed San Francisco cocktail bar Trick Dog host a holiday pop-up with Ancho Reyes on Thursday, December 12 in Las Brisas’ bar and lounge. Hand-crafted cocktails prepared by Baird will be served, along with Ancho Reyes merch and liqueur sample giveaways, live music from 6-9 p.m., and more.  

Having earned several accolades since its opening in 2013, Trick Dog was a semi-finalist for the James Beard Foundation Award for an Outstanding Bar Program in 2014 and 2016, and a finalist for the prestigious award in 2015 and 2018. Making a special appearance at Las Brisas, Baird brings his talents to Laguna Beach, crafting holiday-themed cocktails available for one-night only. On the menu, cocktails will be paired with Ancho Reyes liqueur and agave spirits including:
 
Hot Buttered Toddy – Ancho Verde, Patron Anejo, lemon, honey, hot chamomile tea, organic grass-fed butter on top
Navidad Aperitif – Ancho Reyes Original, Campari, soda, fresh passionfruit, cinnamon foam
Clarified Ancho Coquito (Holiday Coconut Punch) – Ancho Reyes Original, reposado tequila, pineapple, vanilla coconut cream, lime, sugar, spice and everything nice, organic milk Las Brisas Poinsettia – Patron Silver, Ancho Verde, lime, ginger beer, hibiscus float.

ABOUT SCOTT BAIRD:
Scott Baird is a San Francisco Bay Area native. He is the founder of the creative agency Rococo Cantaloupe, and an owner of the bar Trick Dog in San Francisco. Baird made his mark on the San Francisco hospitality industry, bartending in several Bay Area establishments before owning his first bar, 15 Romolo. As owner and operator, he led the conceptual redesign of what became a nationally acclaimed bar. In its first year, 15 Romolo became one of Esquire magazines best bars in America. In 2009, Scott founded The Bon Vivants. With a founding partner at the Bon Vivants, the bar Trick Dog was born in January 2013 in the SF Mission District, having full creative control at its inception. He was the lead on the bar’s design, drinks, food, service – and their renowned food and beverage menus. Trick Dog has earned many accolades over the 6 years since its opening. In 2017, Trick Dog won Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Award for World’s Best Cocktail Menu and won the Best American Bar Team award in 2014. Furthermore, Trick Dog was a semi-finalist for the James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Bar Program in 2014 and 2016 and finalist for the prestigious award in 2015 and 2018. In addition, Trick Dog was awarded Nightclub and Bar magazine’s “Small Wonder Bar of the Year,” and “best-of” lists across America ranging from FOOD & WINE to Playboy and has been on the World’s 50 Best Bars list every year since 2014. Trick Dog is also on the current 500 best bars in the world list and it is the only establishment of its kind in the Bay Area to be reviewed by, and twice receive 3 Stars, from famed S.F. Chronicle restaurant critic Michael Bauer.
