The LBCAC Comedy Series returns August 20 with another outstanding night of stand-up, bringing nationally recognized comedy to the intimate listening room at the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center.
Headlining the evening is Steven Briggs, a high-energy comedian known for his hilarious characters, storytelling, sound effects and unforgettable act-outs. Steven has appeared on Netflix, MTV, Hulu, truTV, HBO and Comics Unleashed, amassed millions of views online, and entertained audiences across the country and around the world.
Joining Steven is the incredible Jann Karam, a veteran comedian, actor and writer whose credits include The Tonight Show, Late Show with David Letterman, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, HBO’s Young Comedians Special and more. Jann headlines nationally, regularly tours with Dana Carvey, and brings a wonderfully warm, sharp and relatable style to the stage.
Returning as host is Laguna Beach’s own Matt Balaker, , a comedian, writer and author whose credits include VICE TV’s Dark Side of Comedy, Conan, Hulu, SiriusXM, The Adam Carolla Show and Thick Skin with Jeff Ross. Matt is also co-author of the acclaimed biography Greg Giraldo: A Comedian’s Story and host of The Matt Balaker Podcast, where he brings his curiosity, quick wit and conversational style to guests from the worlds of comedy, business and beyond.
With his sharp observational humor and natural rapport with audiences, Matt has quickly become an essential part of the LBCAC Comedy Series.
