Breweries, Distilleries & Wineries

What could be better than taking in the fresh, crisp ocean air while sipping on a glass of wine, chilled beer or a neat pour of a passionately crafted spirit?

Nothing really, unless that beer, wine or spirit comes from the place you are enjoying it…and soon, you’ll be able to experience all three while visiting Laguna Beach.

Already established and not surprisingly very popular with locals and visitors alike, Laguna Beach Brewery & Grille is a California family owned brewery company. Established in 2016, Laguna Beach Brewery & Grille is an upscale Mexican style restaurant that is in the process of brewing their very own beer, so keep an eye out for more to come soon. Not to be left out, Laguna Beach Beer Company was co-founded by lifelong Laguna Beach residents, Brent and Mike, who decided to take the leap and launch Laguna Beach Beer Company in 2014, which is currently operating out of nearby Rancho Santa Margarita which also serves handcrafted fare that pairs with their beers. Their Laguna Beach is now open in Laguna Canyon Arts District. Right next to Sawdust Festival.

A law recently passed in Orange County allowing distilleries to have tasting rooms, similar to breweries and wineries. Gus Samios, the man behind Pleasure Distillery, has long called the California coast his home and he will soon be opening his distillery in North Laguna. His goal is to create cleaner and healthier spirits, and he does so by growing his own organic ingredients to acquire the wanted taste.  With a speakeasy vibe, he aims to make his tasting room, which opens in the fall of 2018, a fun, mini-lounge experience.

When it comes to wine, Laguna Beach is currently home to one winery, Laguna Canyon Winery, which they ship fresh grapes direct from the Napa and Sonoma regions and then crush, press, ferment, barrel age, blend and bottle all in their Laguna Beach facility. Laguna Canyon Winery has a tasting room open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m except on Mondays and holidays, when the winery is closed.
