The lights sparkle and shine while carolers roam the aisles covered in sawdust at this world-renown arts and crafts fair. Artists display their creations of ceramics, blown glass, oil paintings, and many mixed media which provide an amazing selection of gifts to choose from for the holidays. Kids will love running through a gingerbread house, climbing on a sleigh, and visiting Santa. Everyone will be mesmerized watching the glass blowing demonstrations taking place all throughout the day. There is also an Art Spot for kids to make a craft right next to a booth with little animals to pet. Put your name in early to get a chance to throw a vase, cup, or bowl with help on a pottery wheel. Families will enjoy visiting the Sawdust Art Festival Winter Fantasy with all the fun activities and beautiful art.
Santa Claus knows where the best place on earth to be is at during the holidays - here in Laguna Beach. His quaint headquarters are just outside Tuvalu at 295 Forest Avenue. He is waiting to meet all the eager kids from 1-4pm daily from December 5-24. Each year, Santa kicks off his visit to Laguna Beach with the help of the community on Hospitality Night. The fun takes place on the first Friday in December with the lighting of the Pepper Tree at City Hall, a Presbyterian Church Bell Choir sing-along, band and school performances, and ice skating on the “ice” at the U.S. Bank parking lot. This community event is the perfect way to start the holiday season.
