The 2016 Laguna Beach Music Festival features three concert performances taking place at Laguna Playhouse throughout the weekend. The Opening Night concert on Friday, Feb. 12, featured Festival Artistic Directors Jennifer Koh (violinist) and Shai Wosner (pianist) holding up a mirror to some of the great classics. Musical America announced Koh as Instrumentalist of the Year!

This 9th annual event features artists performing all types of music at various downtown locations with special ceremonies and events at Main Beach. This free music festival is presented by the Laguna Beach Sister Cities Association, which established and maintains long-term relationships between the City of Laguna Beach and her sister cities of Menton, France; San Jose del Cabo, Mexico; and St. Ives, England.

Voted "Best Festival" by OC Weekly, and "one of the country's top five festivals" by American Style Magazine, the 50th Annual Sawdust features artwork created only in Laguna Beach. Located in a beautiful eucalyptus grove, visitors experience the creativity of more than 200 local artisans. Sawdust exhibitors create and sell unique pieces from a wide variety of media. Visitors are drawn to the large glass-blowing enclosure where glass masters perform their skill at the furnace. Other highlights of the festival include complimentary art activities for children and adults, live entertainment, a great selection of outdoor cafes and the Sawdust Saloon.

The Festival of Arts is California's longest-running outdoor fine art exhibition. Its jury process and open-air gallery setting allow this festival to please all types of connoisseurs. The show features the original artwork by 140 award-winning artists from Orange County. Art-related attractions and special events include jazz concerts, wine and chocolate pairings, and guided and audio art tours throughout the eight-week run.

Pageant of the Masters is arguably one of the most unique productions in the entire world. Audiences are amazed by 90 minutes of tableaux vivants ("living pictures"), incredibly faithful re-creations of classical and contemporary works of art, with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces. An outdoor amphitheater, professional orchestra, original score, live narration, intricate sets, sophisticated lighting, expert staff and hundreds of dedicated volunteers have won recognition for the Pageant of the Masters as the best presentation of its kind. The history of art is filled with stories of solitary artists abandoning society to pursue their creative expression. The 2016 theme: ‘Partners' sets out in search of stories of compelling collaborations that led to the creation of unforgettable artworks. The Laguna Dance Festival, now in its 13th year, is regarded as one of Orange County's major annual cultural events, and continues to be an important showcase for new and established dance companies and artists.
18th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational

This annual event turns Laguna Beach into an outdoor artist's studio by showcasing 35 of the nation's top plein air landscape painters. The artists compete for prestigious prizes and participate in the weeklong festivities, which include public paint outs, environmental awareness activities and educational events. Culminating with the Collectors' Soiree and Public Art Show at Tivoli Too!, the event celebrates the artistic legacy of the village of Laguna Beach.

The Sawdust Festival grounds transforms into a winter wonderland where 175 artists create, display and sell original creations over the course of four weekends.
